    We found annotate.net as a pretty good "replacement" for Smart Ink. There's a free version, "full" trial as well if you wanted to test it out. Cost is minimal for a site license in addition. We have it being used on all of our IFPs (smartboards and not) by teachers as well as some using it just on their Chromebooks for small instruction. Source: about 2 years ago

    We signed up for annotate.net and it seems to work well on the Promethean Boards for writing over things like docs and slides. I believe it doesn't stay as an overlay like the built in board software, so I think it's good for some teachers to bring into the mix. Source: over 2 years ago
