AI in the next 18 months will do less job taking and more augmenting. In the past we would do a remote presentation, where we'd try to present, listen, take notes, and strategize next steps. Today, systems like read.ai will automatically take notes, create summaries, and highlight moments like when the buyer was most engaged. This is a win for an SDR, AE, AM, VP, etc... Not sure what Gong's pricing is, but we evaluated a few different notetakers and settled on https://fireflies.ai/. $18 / month gets a recording and summary sent out to all invitees to the calendar invite, uploaded into Hubspot, etc. Very valuable for our sales calls. - Source: Hacker News / 12 days ago

I love the idea of AI summarize in Recorder and Chrome, but I don't find it the most useful in its current build simply because it only provides a 3 point summary, which only covers the general meeting topic (of course I already know this!). Some of my recorded meetings are over an hour long, so a more detailed summary is necessary. Hopefully Google adds the option to "elaborate further", or better yet copy... Source: 6 months ago
