Purelymail Reviews

  1. No issues with email deliverability so far, and very cost effective. There is also usage-based billing which starts at 4$/year and should end up cheaper than the flat rate for most use cases. No extra cost per domain and scriptable email routing. The admin panel doesn't look very modern, but works well. Has TOTP and FIDO 2FA support.

Moving away from GMail
Besides the low price, PurelyMail has one more awesome thing: you pay for storage, not for users. So if you have a custom domain, you can create as many users as you want and you won't pay extra. All you will pay for is the total storage (and number of emails sent/received). All the other providers I saw charged extra for different addresses. They even had limitations on the...

I'm really pleased with Purelymail so far. It's very minimalistic, reliable (I can't remember if I've ever had any sort of downtime at all!), and dirt cheap: $10/yr if you're on simple pricing, and usually even less if you pay for usage (my usual monthly bill is around 50¢, give or take, so something like $6/yr). https://purelymail.com/. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago

Https://purelymail.com/ https://mxroute.com/ https://www.vfemail.net/ https://runbox.com/ I know this because I have spent time looking the past week for getting off Outlook.com. I've basically settled on Runbox.com as it seems to be the most established and stable. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
  • Domains and Email hosting
I pay for Purelymail. Base price is $4 a year and then you pay for usage. Or you can pay $10 a year and not worry about paying for usage. Unlimited domains and users, although it is rather clunky to setup. Source: 10 months ago
  • Recommendations for email hosting
I just discovered purelymail.com but am still testing it myself. It seems like the developer is very eager to improve his product and has the absolut best pricing I know of. Source: 11 months ago
  • Simplest way to get gmail with custom domain
You might be able to configure SPF and DKIM to mostly work with Cloudflare as receiving MX and your other mailbox elsewhere spoofing outbound messages, but I think such a setup will be unavoidably fragile. I'd look into something like Purelymail, personally (and when it looked like the free-tier Workspace was going to be nuked for personal users, that was my backup plan). Source: 11 months ago

  • New web hoster or just a email hoster? Advice appreciated
Considering Wix self hosts, I don't see a need for a web hoster, so I was wondering whether MXRoute would be suggested here, from what I understand all I would need to do is to change the DNS settings for mail to point to MXRoute, and cancel the web hosting and email options with her current web hoster (123-reg.co.uk).
