I personally prefer manual restoration & colorization, but it depends on the situation, or kind of request, etc. I recently discovered this website - https://www.restorephotos.io/restore, it generally provides more subtle results than, let's say Picwish or Remini and other similar services, but it also often changes facial features, so it should be considered and blended manually to preserve the original...
