POS is hardware running a software component that will allow you to make a sale - face to face - collect payment and adjust inventory - for example: https://www.clover.com/ and https://squareup.com/us/en/point-of-sale .     Https://squareup.com/us/en/point-of-sale - they used to send out free ones. $6 on amazon. The contactless ones (for EMV chip verification to prevent chargebacks) are about $42, similar to the stripe one. Source: about 3 years ago
