   IPE has close LaTeX integration

   I find IPE to be a life-savior when it comes to generating physics illustrations which come with their share of math toppings. The editor has nice utilities for latching on to the boundaries, intersection, center etc of geometric figures. The spline tool is the best I have seen anywhere. Layers are handled with grace. LaTeX is rendered instantly. It is very easy to produce a multipage document. What more can one possibly want?

   👍 Pros:    Produces multipage documents|Possible to include latex style files and includes|Live rendering of latex blocks, not just math|Very easy to add stepwise revelations|Comes with a presenter that understands notes|Produced pdf can be easily included in latex documents|Completely free and open source

   👎 Cons:    May be difficult to figure some things right out of the box

• Pixel/ASCII Maps

  I found this cool ASCII art program on Itch.io called Playscii. After faffing about with it for a while I thought some of the character sets would work well for making maps. So I redrew the map of a Sky Tomb from the Stars Without Number adventure Hard Light. They're not spectacular (I'm still new to visual art) but I think they look super cool. I think this visual style fits really well with the OSR. Source: about 3 years ago
