This was in earliest days of Internet, and I used probably AOL's search engine trying to find free MP3s to finally land on Project Playlist, so I wrote them a heartfelt letter about my jail experience over "Sliver" when the bar played "Rape Me" instead, and pointed out playlist.com was available and easier to type. There was an old website called playlist.com. I had just discovered it and was searching for the Tracy Bonham song "Mother Mother", which I loved but hadn't heard in years. I couldn't find the song, but what did pop up was a song called "Dirty Town" by the band Mother Mother. I clicked it out of curiosity and holy shit.
