One of the plate recognizers I used identified the plate as NAK N97. However the license plate search turned up nothing. https://platerecognizer.com/ I cropped the picture of the car in question and uploaded it to the plate recognizer site. For what it is worth, I tried a reverse image search via: https://platerecognizer.com/ with little success. It came back with a potential plate number of NAK N97... So I guess robots think the second letter could be 'A'. Source: about 1 year ago

If anyone knows an up-to-date license plate reader version. https://github.com/openalpr/openalpr is outated, doesn't read different angles natively, traning tools are also outated etc but anyone knows an open source version that as well as say https://platerecognizer.com/ or even https://www.openalpr.com/ please let me know. Software wise I've installed motionEyeOS which allows the camera feed to be accessible in a browser, or even hooked up to home assistant so it can be accessed in your mobiles home app. For the camera itself I'm using the original Raspberry Pi camera. Source: over 1 year ago

Have you heard of MotionEyeOS? Motion is the main program, MotionEye is a browser-based UI for it, and the MotionEyeOS is everything wrapped up with a bow on it. Set up a NAS share (2nd Pi?) and you should be good. Source: over 2 years ago
