CKEditor might be a bit more popular than PlantUML. We know about 8 links to it since March 2021 and only 6 links to PlantUML. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
PlantUML, like Mermaid, is an open source tool that allows users to create diagrams from plain text descriptions. PlantUML is the original ‘diagrams as code’ platform. It has a deep feature set, can be integrated into just about any environment, and can be extended to fit just about any use case. For example, the most useful thing to me about PlantUML is its support for visualizing .JSON files. - Source: dev.to / 4 days ago

Seems like a considerable upgrade from PlanUML (https://plantuml.com/ - which is amazing, but sometimes you just can't seem to be able to align the stuff the way you want too). - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
Problematic dependencies. Some dependencies like CKEditor are designed specifically to work with Webpacker and won't work with other tools. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
At my work, we recently released a beta of our switch CKEditor, coming from Draftjs. Works pretty well. They have a free license available, not sure if that would cover your use-case tho. Source: about 1 year ago
Every place where the mismanager wanted a rich text editor ended up skinning/modding what is now called CKEditor . It used to be called "FCKEditor" because of the initials of the guy who wrote it, but almost everyone reading it put the letter U in where it didn't belong. Sorry Frederico Caldeira Knabben. CKEditor offers rich text editing, and is a fantastic bit of kit I've used extensively over the past couple of years. It does cost money, but it's worth it. Source: over 1 year ago
Recall that in the previous article, when you create a post, you can only add plain text, which is not ideal for a blog article. The rich text editor or WYSIWYG HTML editor allows you to edit HTML pages directly without writing the code. In this tutorial, I am using the CKEditor as an example. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
