    It's impossible. Can't be done in 5 weeks. Somebody somewhere didn't know what they were signing up for. To begin with, you don't do a softphone with Asterisk, you connect a softphone with Asterisk. Maybe your assignment is to connect a softphone using Asterisk? Which will be immensely easier :)...
