Pi-hole should do that. It blocks ads across your network. - Source: Reddit / about 11 hours ago
Having the PiHole on the LAN side of the modem allows you to create a DNS sink that just accidentally intentionally misplaces all that creepy data mining traffic that smart homes inevitably generate. This also can do 90% of the heavy lifting for ad-blockers and the like to keep your Porn YouTube viewing ad free. If you want to go ProtectiveParentTM then you can even block all those dirty websites right here.... - Source: Reddit / about 20 hours ago
This won't circumvent the cap but install adblockers on everything you can or get a Pihole setup to do that. You can cut down a ton of data usage this way. Adblocking has cut my mobile data usage (which I pay for every GB) by 50%. I suggest Blokada 4 (not 5, it's missing a bunch of features due to the massive overhaul). And you can't get it on Google Play cuz it's been blocked by Google, should use the F-Droid... - Source: Reddit / 1 day ago
One Pi (raspberrypi) is running Pi-hole, the other Pi (serverpi) is running a few Docker containers such as Homer and File Browser (with a 1TB SSD, this is acting as a pseudo NAS). - Source: Reddit / 4 days ago
Pi-hole is an easy to setup FOSS solution for network wide ad protection. - Source: Reddit / 5 days ago
Would anyone with experience of both TrafficLight and AdGuard, please have a mo' to advise? - Source: Reddit / 9 days ago
It adds another layer of direct control over your network. Why should I let someone else be in charge of my DNS requests? With a stack like Pihole or Adguard on top of Unbound in recursive mode, not only do I get to monitor, control, block and manage my own requests, but I can be absolutely certain that my requests don't get tampered with as they come directly from the root DNS servers. - Source: Reddit / 29 days ago
Adguard for mobile also can be used. It can delete ads in other apps so Google banned Adguard from Play Store. Here's where you can download it directly.https://adguard.com/en/welcome.html. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
Yeah, get Adguard. I’m a beta tester, so I get most of the pro features for free. I forgot how, but I think I became one through their website https://adguard.com/en/welcome.html. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
Thanks. I will check this out. Is AdGuard also a similar approach ? https://adguard.com/en/welcome.html https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AdGuard. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 months ago
