PhotoDemon mentions (2)

  • Paint.net
If you are looking for nice Windows-only open source photo editor with lots of Paint and Photoshop-like features, I recommend PhotoDemon: https://photodemon.org/. - Source: Hacker News / 2 months ago
  • Are there any open source programs that are like 'convertio.co' so you can convert offline?
Converseen comes to mind: https://sourceforge.net/projects/converseen/ ... PhotoDemon is a fast and open editor with some nice batch functions for conversion: https://photodemon.org/. Source: over 1 year ago

Dark Room mentions (3)

  • A note taking app that uses .txt?
The only thing I know with half of those features that's discontinued is the old Darkroom app but that doesn't tackle some of the bigger compatibilities. Source: about 2 years ago
  • I have trouble shutting my internal editor off
Not sure if this is applicable, but if you're using Word or Scrivener or something, you may want to switch to a plaintext editor like Dark Room or Typora--something that won't underline your spelling and grammar mistakes. It doesn't even have italics or bold to get in your way. Dark Room is a little old, but I found it here: https://codex.jjafuller.com/books/dark-room/page/overview. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Anyone use a plain text editor to write?
I use DarkRoom. Full screen, no distractions, no "fancy" auto-formatting. Source: almost 3 years ago
