  • $2.08 for petrol, what is going on??
If you don't already: https://petrolspy.com.au/. Source: 11 months ago
  • Petrol is going up ahead of Easter. Lock in or fill up now.
To easily check your closest servo prices, I recommend petrol spy ( https://petrolspy.com.au ). It is user user based, so sometimes it will have old prices, but makes life easier to find your cheapest servo. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Fuel prices in comparison - State app for gasoline prices has good chances in parliament | Pirmin Bischof from the center wants gas stations to have to report gasoline prices daily. Thomas Aeschi from the SVP is against it, because there is already such a solution from the TCS.(German)
It probably won't cost a lot, it's well worth it and keeps the petrol companies on their toes. Just copy this one. Https://petrolspy.com.au/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I never thought it would happen to me
PetrolSpy in Australia, which also shows the last recorded petrol prices, is admittedly a brilliant idea. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Useful websites in Adelaide
Https://petrolspy.com.au/ might be nationwide, but the large variance in prices sometimes might be more of an Adelaide thing. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Can I improve further?
I'd also recommend experimentation with new methods per each tank of gas and use fuelly.com to track and add notes to see which methods work the best for your specific Prius and use case over time. Source: 11 months ago
  • Owners: What efficiency are you seeing with your regular driving?
Sure there is. Go check out fuelly.com and tell me that you wouldn't be able to estimate pretty closely the mpg of any car you own based on that data and considering your own driving style. Source: 11 months ago
  • Sanity check: How and when do PHEVs make sense?
As to the data the article is using... It mentioned fuelly.com as a source. Just clicking on a few PHEVs from that website, it's abundantly clear how tiny the data set is. Nor does it seem to do much in the way of data verification. I just pulled up the listing for the Chevy Volt. Somehow I doubt there are dozens of people between 200 mpge and 500 mpge (200 mpge = 6 mi/kWh), and even 2 cars are listed at 1 mpge! Source: 12 months ago
  • Real life fuel consumption
Fuelly.com has real-life experience for each. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Amazing MPG on 2023 Corolla LE
Nice! I have a 2015 corolla LE and my best tank was 50.8 MPG on 412 miles. It was a trip from KY to OH cruising around 65 mph mostly. I average 42.8 MPG across 140,264 miles tracked via fuelly.com. If I didnt live in cold Michigan winters it would be higher. Very fuel-efficent gas-only car, definitely capable of 50+ MPG with the right conditions and certain manner of driving. Source: about 1 year ago
