ID Guard Offline Reviews

  1. cool app

Lots of features that I want. Very like it.

    ๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Offline|Many features|Otp authenticator|Password generator|Autofill|Desktop browser extension|Account templates|Custom logos|Save attachments|Save notes|Custom tags
    ๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    Seems none
  2. Offline makes me feel safe

No Internet permission, I had checked it on my phone. All of my data are under my control. And I need to back up data by myself, then store them in a place that I trust.

๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Secure and easy to use|Offline|Trusted|Excellent features|Great customer support|Cheap price
๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    No search by categories|Extensions are limited
  3. Great support team, wonderful design principle

I ever had some questions about the security design and features of the app, and its support team was very patient to explain all of them to me. I like its design principle so much and I think it's truly different from other password managers. Before this, I used a lot of password managers app like 1password, lastpass, enpass, etc. But I prefer to choose ID Guard Offline to keep my passwords.

    ๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Secure and easy to use|Security chip encryption|Aes-256 & pbkdf2|No internet access|Autofill & accessibility service|Custom account templates|Otp authenticator|Password generator|Password meter|Add multi-tags|Custom account logo|Save images and notes
๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    Only comes in 2 languages, english and chinese|Ui is not very attractive|Can't import from other password managers

Not sure of your technical chops... But I use passwordstore.org between all my devices (iOS/MacOS/Linux) that is PGP backed, and I sync them via a bare git repo I host. Does TOTP, text, password generation, etc... Source: about 1 year ago

  • Ok, I may have gone on a little rant the other day but someone suggested I ask for help... So I'm asking for help.
And if you'd like to store the token encrypted in password store, there's a helper for that: pass git helper. Source: about 1 year ago
  • How to prevent 2FA + pw vault deadlock lock-out
My password manager is secured using GPG. It's encrypted with two keys, one of which lives on my Yubikey (to access my passwords on my phone) and the other of which is on my desktop (as a backup). Presumably, the only way I'd get locked out is if my Yubikey is lost/stolen/broken and my desktop stops working and my local backups aren't working. In other words, not very likely at all.
