If you're comfortable with it, you can sleep in your car almost anywhere except for central city areas. It is illegal to do in many countries, but as long as you go to sleep late and leave early, it will be absolutely fine. Just try not to get woken up by police with a fine. Find nanny's at the park, use care.com or urbansitter.com they do background checks, you can interview them and do a meet and greet and get recs. Source: about 2 years ago
We tried care.com, urbansitter.com, a nanny agency, the doula network, a local facebook group, and word of mouth. We interviewed a bunch. The number one issue was that we were not willing to pay them under the table but needed part time help. We were willing to pay extra, but nannies didn't even know how much extra to charge, they just didn't want the work. Source: over 2 years ago
