If you want a live chat widget with HelpKit, the widget allows you to hook up one of many live chat providers… One of them called Papercups is actually fully free to use such as Tawk + more privacy friendly :). If chat means just "customer should be able to chat directly with our employees" for you, then something like chatwoot or papercups should do the job. Basically just a chat widget you can drop into your site where customers can message you. Source: about 2 years ago

People grow very attached to their editors. I had a professor in university who paid 100$ every year for his subscription to https://crisp.com/ which he used for email and notes. He has a windows workstation set up with KVM (because the department is Linux based) solely so that he can use Crisp.
