Would it be a bannable offense to have someone coaching you live during a comp match?
Why would it be bannable ? isn't it the same as having a friend sitting next to you or making callouts for you ? Coaching in OverWatch or any other game for that matter is better when its live & in a competitive environment I would say you should go for a coach who can do that for you as you can get better out of the coaching session, practice is always better in learning. Fix matchmaking to lower toxicity
When I Queue to a match of OverWatch, I want to play with people on my own skill level, I don't want to play the shit show of totally dominate or get dominated in 90% of my matches, I don’t want to have a 3-4 minute DPS queue and have absolutely no impact on the outcome of the game, I just want fair matches, I will wait on the Queue as much as it needed for a better matchmade OverWatch game. Also, if you want to make a shooter like those, you don't really want the original Build engine. What you want is a modern open source implementation of those engines. I don't know, but if you want a retro game you might as well use a retro-engine. Ion Fury (2019) used the EDuke32 engine and there are also modern versions of the original Doom engine, like GZDoom - with modern games like Brutal Doom or SIGIL (2019). Source: over 2 years ago
