  There is a paid app called Our Pact that we used when my kids were younger. We don't use that anymore but did until they hit about 15 or so. It's really good; works on both android and ios.   Totally regional dependent. Check out the website 'winnie.com'. If they serve your area you can see which daycares have 'openings available now'. In my area major metropolitan there are a ton of openings - you call them a year in advance and they say 'call me a few months before'. But if there are openings you can always waitlist if you see one you really love but send them somewhere else with immediate openings... Source: 10 months ago
