For those on MacOS, you can use a free tool called OpenMTP to do any type of file transfer from your MacOS to Xreal Beam. Supports multiple transfer of APK files. Feel free to give this a try if you prefer downloading all your APK packages to your Mac and transferring them in one go to your Beam. Have fun! Source: 7 months ago

For media, you will need to transfer stuff on an intermediate device via mtp. For Mac you have open mtp https://openmtp.ganeshrvel.com. Linux should support this natively. No idea for Windows. Source: about 1 year ago
