For those on MacOS, you can use a free tool called OpenMTP to do any type of file transfer from your MacOS to Xreal Beam. Supports multiple transfer of APK files. For media, you will need to transfer stuff on an intermediate device via mtp. For Mac you have open mtp https://openmtp.ganeshrvel.com. Linux should support this natively. No idea for Windows. Source: about 1 year ago

Well yeah, I mean no one forces you to use Explorer for file management under Windows. I'm an old-time Norton Commander user, and when Windows came around I switched to Total Commander. There are open-source alternatives too, even cross-platform ones, like this one: https://doublecmd.sourceforge.io/.
