  • just got a new laptop i don't know what's the important apps to install?
Chocolatey can only manage things installed by Chocolatey. If you use Powershell's PackageManagement functionality (which is a "package manager manager") then you can integrate Chocolatey with a handful of other (also usually nuget-based) package managers, but you're still fundamentally limited to "can only manage what was installed by the manager" behavior. Ketarin mentions (3)

  • Could there ever be something like this but for cracked software ? Keeping cracked software up to date is tiresome and boring :(
I know Ketarin exists which can accomplish something similar, but with the way cracked software is usually distributed it could become pretty hard to configure. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Request: Package manager that pulls GitHub/GitLab releases
Ketarin can do this, or with a bit of work you could probably do this with git. Pull the initial repo into your location of choice, select the most recent tag with git tag and then git pull the result. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Getting rid of Adobe Creative Cloud
Ketarin is great freeware to help keep these sorts of utilities up to date. Source: over 2 years ago
