It solves the issue because if sktch.io ever goes under, you can always host your project yourself on your own server. (You can also add more functionality to your project if you want). The other platforms like bubble.io don't have this feature so when you use those platforms, you are really locked in their ecosystem. Source: over 2 years ago

They don't necessarily have a specific project they want to build through sktch.io or maybe they have already started building their tool with another tool such as bubble.
