Nicotine+ is a graphical client for the Soulseek peer-to-peer network.
Nicotine+ aims to be a pleasant, free and open source (FOSS) alternative to the official Soulseek client, providing additional functionality while keeping current with the Soulseek protocol.
No Nicotine+ videos yet. You could help us improve this page by suggesting one.
Deluge might be a bit more popular than Nicotine+. We know about 28 links to it since March 2021 and only 24 links to Nicotine+. As has been said, K/s is an indication of transfer speed, and the default SLSK client does not keep track of transferred data for you. However, as there's never a bad time for a Nicotine+ plug, that does keep such stats, both for session and total transfer. Source: 11 months ago
Please be careful, there are some fake versions of the slsk client out there and they are confirmed malware. The official Soulseek website is http://www.slsknet.org/. I suggest you download a version of the client from this page or better yet download a copy of the third party client Nicotine+. N+ is updated far more... Source: about 1 year ago
Soulseek is a P2P service, yes, use a client like nicotine+ that is much more modern, and in my opinion, more usable than the default client. Source: over 1 year ago

Grab this file. Install Transmission on Mac or Deluge on Win. Optional: run a VPN if you're in the US(mostly) and worried about your ISP sending you a cease-and-desist notice. Open the file using the app you installed. Wait. It should start within a minute or two and download progress will be seen. Speed depends on how many people are sharing it. Any issues, let me know.
