Possible disadvantages of Newshosting

  • Cost
Newshosting can be relatively expensive compared to some other Usenet providers, particularly if you want access to all its premium features like unlimited speeds and high data caps.
  • Learning Curve
While the software is user-friendly, new users who are not familiar with Usenet might need some time to understand how to use the platform effectively.
  • Limited Payment Options
Newshosting might have fewer payment options compared to other services, potentially limiting how users can pay for subscriptions.
  • Data Privacy Concerns
Despite SSL encryption, some users might still have concerns about data privacy and the retention of personal information by the service.
  • Limited Technical Support
Customer support might not be as responsive or comprehensive as some users would like, which could be an issue for those needing timely assistance.

Possible disadvantages of BinTube Usenet Access

  • Limited Free Trials

  • Potential Overhead
The bundled software might add unnecessary overhead for users who prefer other newsreaders or have established setups.
  • Price Point
Some users might find BinTube's pricing to be higher compared to some competitors, especially for premium unlimited plans.
  • Server Limitations
Depending on the plan, users may experience limitations in terms of available server connections, which could affect download speeds if the user has a very fast internet connection.
  • Not Beginner-Friendly
Without widespread advertising or free trials, novice users might find it less accessible compared to other providers which have more visible introductory offerings.

  • Faster Highspeed Internet not faster Newsgroup downloads
Just upgraded to a 1.5 gb fiber connection and after much discussion with Telus I was actually able to get the advertised speeds (1440 Mbps) on my PC. However I found that my downloads from newshosting.com peaked at 120 MB/s then dropped to 40 MB/s. Anythoughts on what this might be? Throttling or is their speed limits on the newshosting side.
