I use Zabbix in my lab only. According to that experience, it performs well. At work, we use netxms for monitoring multiple servers: https://netxms.com/. You install the agent on the client locations. You can configure it to collect any metrics you need. Another approach is combining a few tools. I was a nagios with nconf (long time not supported) die hard, however, I have recently switched to https://openitcockpit.io/ which has a great configuration web interface, it supports nagios plugins.
