The replies in this thread already have some great suggestions, my only addition would be that you can grab a free domain from names.co.uk (it's free for a year) that you could use with Cloudflare's free DNS management or a Cloud Flare tunnel. Source: over 1 year ago

After a little bit of research I found that it’s also for sale on a website called https://afternic.com for $7750. Every other registrar I checked said that it was unavailable. It looks like it’s owned by a group called HebeiDomains, which look to be pretty inactive, their website (http://hebeidomains.com) being completely empty. Pretty funny too, they’re apparently breaching of their registrar agreement with... Source: over 2 years ago
