Https://purelymail.com/ https://mxroute.com/ https://www.vfemail.net/ https://runbox.com/ I know this because I have spent time looking the past week for getting off Outlook.com. I've basically settled on Runbox.com as it seems to be the most established and stable. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
  • What opensource mail solution would you use for multitenant, 7.5k mailboxes ?
Not sure if it’s 100% opensource but the client is and the team is great mxroute. Source: 6 months ago

  • OpenBSD/ARM64 on Hetzner Cloud
After paying Vultr way too much for my personal toy OpenBSD hosting, let me share my host TinyKVM [1] as a happy customer. Obviously look at the terms, they clearly recommend not using it for any critical purposes. It's a service offered by RAM Host [2], based in Dallas. A bit out of the blue, I'll say that I'm also a happy customer of MXroute [3], which are also in Texas. I like these folk's no-nonsense approach.... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
  • Show HN: Dittofeed – 1-Click deploy, self-host Mailchimp alternative
Nice, I built an internal tool like this once. Love what you've got here. IME the next priority is supporting alternate providers to SG (and I see from the thread it's on your roadmap). Another option for the SMTP part is using an upstream mail provider perhaps https://mxroute.com/ works for folks. Oddly, I've had pretty good success with sending from my own Postfix+OpenDKIM based infrastructure for many years... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago

  • Is Serverless Architecture Right For You?
The first reason is that serverless architectures are inherently scalable and elastic. They automatically scale up or down based on the incoming workload without requiring manual intervention through serverless compute services like AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions. - Source: dev.to / 23 days ago
  • A Brief History Of Serverless
The FaaS platform gained a lot of popularity which resulted in many competitors. There was OSS providers like OpenFaaS or Fission. There were of course the commercial versions to like Azure Functions and Google Cloud Functions. - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
  • Increasing Your Cloud Function Development Velocity Using Dynamically Loading Python Classes
One of the issues developers can encounter when developing in Cloud Functions is the time taken to deploy changes. You can help reduce this time by dynamically loading some of your Python classes. This allows you to make iterative changes to just the area of your application that you’re working on. - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
  • Need some advice on API key storage
I've been looking at Google Secret Manager which sounds promising but I've not been able to find any examples or tutorials that help with the actual practical details of best practice or getting this working. I'm currently reading about Cloud Functions which also sound promising but again, I'm just going deeper and deeper into GCP without feeling like I'm gaining any useful insights. Source: 8 months ago
