  • MBP user and Time Machine
Take a look at Mountain. It can automatically unmount/mount disks on suspend/resume. I no longer need it with my current setup so haven’t used it in a couple years and it doesn’t look to have been updated in years so YMMV. Source: about 2 years ago
  • I'm so sick and tired of the disconnect and reconnects (M1 Mac)
I use a little utility app called Mountain. It can be set to "Unmount external volumes on sleep" and "Mount favorite servers on wake from sleep". I use it with USB and ethernet-connected devices and it has done exactly what I want. But I'm still on Catalina and have never used a Thunderbolt DAS. Mountain hasn't been updated in a few years, but it still works fine for me. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Must have software for laptop -- Missing anything?
This one does all the basic stuff like NetSetMan free version, but without the limit on profile quantity. I’ve used it for years. Source: about 2 years ago
