  • Extremely new music producer in need of feedback and or people to talk about music to improve
Nice track! To be a new producer this is pretty good. I really like the drums. Great video also. Just to get more of a balanced mix, I would use sonible balancer (I believe its still free) https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2020/04/03/sonible-balancer-vst-au-plugin-is-free-for-a-limited-time/ on each track as well as the master. Or you can import to mixchecker to help identify weird frequency clashing or other... Source: 12 months ago

NIce Summertime feel. If I could offer a small tweak for future songs. Not sure if you did the mix but the vocals could sit a little better with the track for a more polished feel. I would recommend using https://mixcheck.studio/ on the mix before mastering and then using LANDR, BandLab, or eMastered for the Master if you are doing it yourself. Hope this helps. • Doing the best I can with an android + free apps... where do I go from here?

  • Egui 0.27 – easy-to-use immediate mode GUI for Rust
Under disadvantages: > You can also call the layout code twice (once to get the size, once to do the interaction), but that is not only more expensive, it's also complex to implement, and in some cases twice is not enough. Egui never does this. I've found multi-pass imgui to work totally fine, and I use it for one of my apps [1]. I can support hstack and vstack layouts which IIRC egui can't. There is added expense... - Source: Hacker News / 2 months ago
  • SwiftUI Is Convenient, but Slow
The article matches my experience with SwiftUI [1][2]. For example, AFAICT, it's not really possible to write a usable node-graph editor using SwiftUI due to layout and dependency analysis overhead. You have to put the entire node graph inside a Canvas and do your own event handling, which is what we did here [3]. UIKit and AppKit aren't slow though, and Apple has every incentive to make this faster (they wrote... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
  • Do you know any software synths that accept math equations as sources for generating waveforms?
This is from 2013. The current version of Audulus can easily generate a waveform from an equation https://audulus.com. Source: 12 months ago
