  • Ask HN: What are some alternatives to Twitter?
Minus is pretty fun. You get to post 100 times until you can't post anymore https://minus.social/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • On Creating a Social Network
    > That's a big part of the appeal of places like Hacker News and Tumblr- the focus on being a social network without adding in additional ad-delivery "features." I myself wouldn't count Hacker News as a social network. There isn't anything that caters towards individuals making connections with one another. It's all about short-lasting exchanges between strangers on a given topic. The social aspect is fleeting... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

    > Posting too much on social media is a vice Sounds like you'd love https://minus.social/ where you are limited to 100 posts - for life. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
  • Ask HN: Whatever Happened to “Exploring the Internet”?
There are a lot of really interesting things on Neocities. Check out their Browse section, enter a tag of anything you're interested in, set the filter, and check out what's there: https://neocities.org/browse I've also been having a lot of fun on minus which is a minimal social network that gives each user a lifespan of 100 posts max: https://minus.social/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

  • Off vocal + chorus for this classic song??
Used x-minus.pro to extract the chorus, it's a little soupy but probably the best online unfortunately. Source: about 1 year ago
  • where can i find good backing tracks?
All I know is this 1 website https://x-minus.pro/ and it does have a lot of stuff that I sing and you can change the key wich is super important for me. It doesn't have everything I'd like to sing tho, where else can I find good backing tracks, im even willing to pay for it :D. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Is it possible for someone to create a karaoke track of seven wonders from Catch Me if You Can? If not is there a free website I could use to create one?
Once you have the original music you need to create an instrumental version. You can use the free versions of splitter.ai or x-minus.pro . If the free version doesn't meet your requirements it's not very expensive for the paid version. Source: over 1 year ago
  • two questions
If you really, REALLY can't find the instrumental, nowhere on the face of the wide web, my ultimate last resort is to use this site to seperate the vocals and instrumental. You have to make an account, but if you think it's worth it, go for it. It's not perfect, and works better on some songs than others, but if you mix the vocals good enough it'll hide most of what remains of the original vocals. This site also... Source: over 1 year ago
