I did a bootcamp a couple years ago when I was 35, so I can understand the inherent concern learning something new in your 30s. Bootcamps can be expensive, time intensive, and frustrating if you don't have some coding knowledge already. Should you move to self-taught, research the sub-field you're interested in and learn the languages around that (i.e. JS, TS, Ruby, Python, etc. For web; Java for Android app dev; Kotlin, R, or Python for data science; Swift for iOS app dev; or any of C++, C#, Assembly, etc. For what they're best for). Approximately 3 years ago I started doing a front-end development course on teamtreehouse.com wich was pretty good but was like 20 dollars a month.( so I dont really recommend it ) quite expensive. This got me an internship at a friends company.
