By far the best backup service I've used. Reasonably simple to use but also extremely powerful. Support is excellent and the Snapshooter team have been highly responsive and are pro-active in adding new features and backup "recipes" for common scenarios. Once you're comfortable with the process, setting up a new server connection and backup jobs takes just a few minutes.
Backups, done.
A good range of options for backups of files to config and previous databases and much more. Only use a handful of integrations. Lots of options around scheduling.
All administered from an easy to use web interface.
Use their storage or your own is flexible to ensure multiple copies reside.
Restore is good too, that’s quite important I’m told ;) clear to see steps needed.
The support is great and responsive too.
My con is in the context of wanting certain integrations without the rest of the higher plan features. It’s a minor niggle really :)
I've had Snapshooter for a year and backup all kinds of data from different platforms. Simple to set up, multiple backup destinations, and simple alerting. The founder listens to his users and implements most feature requests!

A VM is the original “hosting” product of the cloud era. Over the last 20 years, VM providers have come and gone, as have enterprise virtualization solutions such as VMware. Today you can do this somewhere like OVHcloud, Hetzner or DigitalOcean, which took over the “server” market from the early 2000’s. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft's Azure also offer VMs, at a less... - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
Before deploying the application with Kubernetes, you need to containerize the application using docker. This article shows how to deploy a Flask application on Ubuntu 22.04 using Minikube; a Kubernetes tool for local deployment for testing and free offering. That is what the YAML is for. Securely send data to a specific cloud service ( AWS, Google Cloud, Azure ). They call the whole process, CI/CD, deployment, etc etc etc. (Hey picky, I know they are not the same, but they kind of are.). - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago

I run daily snapshots on my Hetzner VPS with https://snapshooter.com (it just triggers a shapshot daily via Hetzner API, I do it while the server is running), and sometimes the snapshotting absolutely wrecks my server:. Source: almost 2 years ago
