I highly recommend Membean for vocabulary development. It teaches word roots along with other words and uses multiple modalities. Once you've learned a word, it still brings it back to test you have remembered it. Just 20 min a day will pay off handsomely. You can try out Membean, it was made for native English speakers and has like 6 levels ranging from middle school to advanced high school level. I find it very helpful. It helps you learn to spell and pronounce the word as well as giving written and video examples of its use.
