Personally, I wouldn't use Nextcloud for photos. Instead, I'd look at Lychee, Media Goblin or something dedicated to photo hosting. Lychee looks great, but turned me off because when I looked at it, it seemed to be like Apple Photos in that it puts image files in a database file instead of just raw files in folders. It's broken at the moment due to the update that killed the Alternate Player but Streamlink should be a good solution, it's active so it should be fixed soon and uses VLC or other compatible media players and Chatterino or Chatty for chat. Source: 12 months ago
