  • Need help, gaining immense weight in short amount of time
Suggestions: 1. Talk to your doctor about the recent changes you have made to your diabetes management plan and your concerns about your recent weight gain. 2. Start counting calories meticulously (buy a food scale if you don't have one!) and make sure your intake isn't exceeding your daily maintenance calories (using 6'1" 210lbs 28yrM + sedentary lifestyle, your daily caloric need is 2550 to 'maintain weight'... • I just blurted out to my family about my mental health problems out of anger. Now Im gonna have to see a doctor. What kind of doctor should I see first?
I went to mayoclinic.org, and I have/had most of the symptoms, the biggest is suicide thoughts. My worst is 9 sa suicide scale. Source: 11 months ago
  • Trans teen died from vaginoplasty complications during landmark Dutch study used to justify child sex changes
This article by mayoclinic.org provides a nice overview of top surgery including conditions, requirements, risks, etc. Which should save me some hassle. Not too much risk behind these further than, fluid build-up, poor healing, and possible tissue damage. Source: about 1 year ago
  • CMV: the new bill passed in Washington state makes it legal for the government to take and indoctrinate children into a belief that they are incapable of understanding.
I really don't care what mayoclinic.org says? I have no idea who they are, so I don't consider them a reputable source. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Does anybody else get very out of breath just from walking?
I wish I had a clear, definite, professional answer for you. For now the answer is… not necessarily. Bradycardia - BPM less than 60, even in the 40-50 BPM range - can occur in healthy people. It might, but doesn’t necessarily cause low BP, and the other way around doesn’t generally occur either. There are people with tachycardia who get LBP, and vice versa… so things can vary all different ways when we’re... Source: about 1 year ago

  • Can anyone talk me down? Made the mistake of excessively googling the side effects of my meds (sertraline and bupropion) and now I’m anxious.
Look at sites like pdr.net and drugs.com as they are going to list out the facts. Pdr.net actually lists the percentage of people having each side effect and breaks them down to major, moderate, and mild. Source: 5 months ago
  • SSRI or SNRI? Which one is better?
SSRIs tend to rate better on websites like drugs.com but SSRIs and even both SSRIs and SNRIs act fairly similarly (ie, focused on serotonin transporter inhibition). Source: 5 months ago
  • High Dose Selegiline + Low Dose Parnate?
Fetzima. It's been around for a decade, but it looks like the generic is dropping now. It's sister drug has been around much longer outside of the US. I don't know what to think, I've never read anyone's experience, so maybe it's not too common? What I just read at a glance is it appears to be a highly specific drug, in stark contrast to most of the tricyclics such as Desipramine (although Desipramine is not... Source: 5 months ago
  • How afraid should I actually be about trying zoloft?
Thankfully I only read the reviews on drugs.com before making my decision and the reviews there are generally positive. If you haven't read them I would check it out. They mostly say yes the initial side effects can be hard, but it is worth it. I read them a bit like Tripadvisor reviews and skipped through to just get a general sense. Source: 5 months ago
  • Wellbutrin, how many people are being paid to say they like this drug! ?
I think you're wrong about all the other people here and the falsifying, but I suppose I have no way to prove you're wrong, and there could be shades of gray (like some reddit users are AI for sure, and why not in a pharmaceutical sub?) but mostly I'm really very interested in all the details of this theory if we follow through all the logical assumptions here. Like...how high up are you thinking this thing goes?... Source: 6 months ago
