  I'll reveal that it was "Marble". I thought signing was a thing outside of the Apple store too. I.E. a package can _come with_ a signature or not, even when downloaded outside of the Apple store. I've whitelist installs with the "this one is not signed" intervention in System Preferences. I've also had off-store downloads that did not require that intervention.   Protect yourself by first pulling your FICO score (go to MyFico and pull your own score, and you can get a coupon from retailmenot.com) and shop around. You can shop around for rates without a hard pull so you know how much car you can afford for the interest rate you would qualify for with that FICO.   I'm in Canada, too. Lands' End has fast shipping to Canada, and I've bought a lot of quality basics from them.
