Grab an old DSLR off eBay, and get a suitable dummy battery DC adapter and intervalometer for it. If you get a Canon that Magic Lantern supports, you can use a software intervalometer instead. If you're already in the Canon ecosystem, why not just get a used 5D mark III? Using Magic Lantern you can then record 3.5K RAW 14bits footages (usable directly under Resolve), may be enough to learn color grading. Source: 11 months ago

How soon do you need it a webcam? The Opal C1 is a very nice camera, but the wait list is long; you could run Camo to use your phone as an camera or wait for the Continuity Camera updates in Ventura to use an iPhone. Source: almost 2 years ago
