Ive done a number of these sets ups and there should be software to break up the comp for you. The workflow ive used the past is make one 4k comp and then send it thru https://madmapper.com or similar. If you HAVE to do it the way you describe check out render region of interest. This is a pretty broad question, but the answer is absolutely yes. The most obvious answer is Unreal Engine, and Notch also comes to mind (https://www.notch.one), but there are plenty of others.
