  • Lumen is beautiful.
But for high end archviz images, its still not quite there. For this quality, especially for quick/underpaid projects I'd rather stick to Lumion then. Source: almost 3 years ago

CentiLeo mentions (2)

  • Is there a way to force physical renderer to use GPU?
That being said - Centileo is a GPU render engine with C4D plugin integration that's free while it's in development, so you can try it out if you like. The only drawback is that you wont get a tonne of tutorials on it, so you'll probably have to figure a lot out on your own or watch other tutorials and do your own translations to it. Also, as it's in development, I would expect it to have some bugs. Source: 12 months ago
  • Re-inventing the tooling pipeline with Open Source homebrew for my studio.
Hum, if I wanted to render animated stuff, I'd definitely try Unreal (with nanite can basically ingest raw sculpts) also they seem pretty fuzzy about the licensing as a 'render engine', basically you can just use it, prman is not exactly cheap... Or maybe hook up with some independent types... Like https://centileo.com, for collaborations... Source: over 1 year ago
