Easy Video Creation: With ScreenRun, you can create stunning videos from your screenshots or screen recordings in just a few clicks. Dynamic Zooming: It is a powerful feature that allows you to create engaging videos that give the impression of a cursor moving in real-time over the image or recording. Customization: Customization is a key feature of this platform, that allows you to add automatic subtitles, music backgrounds that suit your style and brand, and overlay your webcam, including replacing its background by a picture of your choice, blurring and even a custom avatar/profile image when you just want to show your pictures without the live webcam.

ScreenRun's answer:
ScreenRun is used by product teams and designers that want to share engaging videos of their apps or screens to colleagues, followers or clients.
ScreenRun's answer:
Many screen recording apps are either too simple (just record your screen) or complex, and none of them offered a way to quickly create engaging screen recordings by placing a few points over images or video clips to zoom and engage the person watching.
ScreenRun's answer:
Everything is web-based using modern browser APIs for video encoding and decoding. ScreenRun also uses AI from OpenAI to create automatic transcripts from your audio and video assets. But everything runs in your browser, no cloud involved for total privacy.
ScreenRun's answer:
Entirely web-based video creation too with zooms, webcam and automatic captions. And unlike many web-based products, ScreenRun runs entirely inside your web browser without sending any data to a server. This aspect is critical for total privacy in work contexts.
ScreenRun's answer:
ScreenRun is so simple to use! And because it's web-based, you can access it from anywhere, including iPhone or Android.
Based on our record, Loom should be more popular than ScreenRun. It has been mentiond 19 times since March 2021. Loom is a video recording tool that allows users to capture screenshares with voiceovers. In UAT, it’s used to show an application workflow, whether successful or buggy. Instead of listing steps to replicate a bug/workflow, you can record it firsthand and save everyone some time. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
Telling somebody, “I want to work for you” is only as good as the reasons you give them. If you show them that you can identify value that they need created and can create it, you take a lot of that work off of their plate. Loom is a good tool for walking people through what you can create. Source: about 2 years ago
Async meetings are pretty great), http://loom.com is pretty great. (don't work there, not even a paying customer, but even then it's transformed the way I work.). - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
While not animation software, both loom.com and scribehow.com are a version of this. Loom is pure video and audio, Scribe is a combo of screenshots and written steps. It 'watches' what you do, then makes an instructional guide that can be edited later. Source: about 2 years ago
I'm not on mac, so I use loom.com as an alternative to screen.studio 😉. Source: over 2 years ago
I have no connection but seeing as these conversations often discuss alternatives I'd like to mention https://screenrun.app/. It's web based, offers plenty of features and can be had for a one-time of $40. I've only used it a handful of times however I keep coming back. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
I also created something web-based last year called ScreenRun https://screenrun.app It really works best in Chromium-based browser which have WebCodecs. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
I use firebase auth with Google, Facebook and email (magic link) This is live at https://screenrun.app/. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
You can do that with ScreenRun (which I developed) https://screenrun.app/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
Others mentioned ScreenStudio (which is awesome), but if you don't need all of its features (or can't afford it at the moment), I've found ScreenRun to be a great alternative: https://screenrun.app/ It's browser-based, but there's a Mac (and Windows I think) companion app that records the screen with click-tracking for zooming (as it's not possible with browser screen sharing just yet). It's somehow limited... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago

Both ScreenRun and Loom let you record your screen with your webcam, but ScreenRun adds zooming effects to your videos, automatic subtitles and everything runs in your browser for your privacy. ScreenRun creates a video as MP4 that you can then share directly on social media or work Slack, etc. Loom requires an internet connection to record your video since it uploads chunks to the Loom server as you record, which can sometimes lead to video quality issues. However, Loom generates a link that you can share with people.
