Compared to competitors our app, Lomotif, is sorely lacking. HOWEVER, compared to where we were even just a year ago I can definitively say the app is much better and continues to get better content and creators. They created a web-based version. "Regular" people don't really need FFMPEG. Regular people need tools with GUIs that have a non-generic purpose. So stuff like https://kdenlive.org/en/ that are backed by ffmpeg are (imo) superior "regular" person tools.
