  • Looking for muwire
As of 05 Nov 2022, https://muwire.com/ seems to have a certificate error, and no website is visible. Is there a backup website? Source: over 1 year ago
  • This could be bad for us
Now is a good time to get familiar with i2p (a fully encrypted private network layer) and all of the pirating possibilities it offers. Torrenting with i2psnark and direct p2p sharing with MuWire is already there. Several torrent clients have/are adding i2p compatibility as well, so snark isn't the only option. Hosting your own site on your own pc is incredibly simple too. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Should i use the i2p Bundle or i2pd?
MuWire: Easy anonymous file sharing using I2P technology. Source: over 1 year ago
  • i2p for finding FLAC/AIFF (lossless) audio files?
MuWire is actually I2P-based, it includes a whole I2P router and will use it: https://muwire.com/ and http://muwire.i2p. Source: over 1 year ago
  • I2P and how it can help our cause.
Well there's a solution that can at least address problem #2. It's an application called MuWire and it's designed for anonymous P2P file sharing using (you guessed it)I2P. It's really easy to install on any OS and it doesn't take long to get familiar with it. Source: about 2 years ago

You could also check out rtorrent: http://rakshasa.github.io/rtorrent/, but I remember reading that development has stalled on that project. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Useful tip for Linux/BSD users (Torrent specific use case)
Where it really starts to shine is when you combine it with other CLI & TUI applications. I use openSSH, rtorrent and Tmux (or GNU screen) in combination with PIA's manual script to achieve a remote "seedbox". I don't need to access my computers when I'm away from my local network but one has the potential by creating their own local VPN or opening up the port to their seedbox. Source: about 2 years ago
