  • Svelte Explained...
This is just a brief introduction into Svelte but there is so much more and all can be learned with ease. Wes Bos is such a great resource on the topic and I encourage you to check out his podcast Syntax and his tutorials page as well. Svelte also has a Discord with a great community. I hope this article launches you to take a deeper dive into the framework. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
  • My favourite learning resources for web developers
LevelUp Tutorials Scott Tolinski's project, he has a great delivery in his video courses. His business model is slightly different from Wes'. You pay a monthly fee and get access to all his courses. Scott is prolific author whilst maintaining a good quality. - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago
  • Any course that are actually worth it?
Hi! I really like Scott Tolinski’s React classes. Scott also does a podcast with another great dev, Wes Bos called “Syntax”, which is the best podcast on front end I’ve heard yet. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Your Favorite Coding Challenge Website?
I recommend watching tons of tutorials (youtube, wes bos, level up tuts, frontend masters) to build sample apps, then once you've built the sample, you rebuild another app on your own with similar functionality but actually serves some kind of personal purpose. Having cool, practical apps that you've created makes you stand out as a dev candidate when you go to get a job. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Any good react courses on sale?
All of our subscription https://leveluptutorials.com/ is on sale and has a ton of React content like React 3D, and tons of beginner and intermediate stuff. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Ask HN: Fast way to relearn React industry best practices?
I'm in a coding session with a recruiter soon to show off my front-end skills. The truth is, I haven't coded front-end in a while and am out of date with industry best practices. What's a good way to as quickly as possible relearn this? I have about 4 years of software dev experience, mostly back-end. In my first year it was mostly front-end (in React). I was wondering if something like [1] would help. But I just... - Source: Hacker News / 27 days ago
  • Trying to use dotnet watch with Svelte
I was going through Frontend Masters' Svelte Fundamentals and I wondered "Would it be possible to substitute npm run dev with dotnet watch, at least to some extend (i.e. Without the full fledged functionality that SvelteKit provides)? So, out of curiosity, I shall give it a try... - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago

Https://frontendmasters.com/ and https://egghead.io/ are both quite cheap & have lots of courses - especially useful if learning a new framework or library that they cover. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
  • How can I read through the React documentation without feeling overwhelmed?
I learnt the basics of React as part of an online Fullstack Web Development bootcamp (Components, Props & State) and built a project with it. Now I want to learn more advanced concepts like Hooks and Redux. I was thinking of using the React learning path on frontendmasters.com but I do not want to fall into tutorial hell. Therefore, I want to teach myself Hooks and Redux by just reading through documentation. What... Source: 5 months ago
