Maybe ARChon will work? I have my doubts, but it's a Chrome extension rather than an actual virtual machine... It allows you to run many Android application inside of Chrome using the Chrome runtime engine rather than installing a copy of Android directly. It doesn't work for some things, but many APK's will work. Note, the key here is you have enough resources to use Chrome effectively... So who knows. Source: over 1 year ago
You don’t have to run a virtual machine to get your Android apps working on Linux. Thanks to the ARChon project, you can run your Android apps in your Chrome web browser. The ARC in the name stands for Android Runtime for Chrome, acting as a miniaturized Android environment for your apps. Source: about 3 years ago
