  • What traps should I be on the lookout for in a rental contract?
Anyway, that's the plan. Feel free to throw out any insane contract bs I should be looking out for, contract insanity I could use, or any online tools I can use to actually make the contracts. I found a tool on lawdepot.com, but it was asking for a credit card with a free trial so I'd rather give that one a miss if I can. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Free NDA for Canadians?
I also use https://lawdepot.com/ as well and have been told by a lawyer friend of mine that they cover most scenarios well/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Free NDA for Canadians?
Well this would be a free trial thing, but I use lawdepot.com. I occasionally need NDA's and employment contracts but know nothing about them, so I like just answer the questionnaire on the site and having it spit out the document I need :) I'd highly recommend accepting the need to cancel it or paying for a month considering the headache it saves. • Family Law Attorney
Alternatively, you can do most of the work on your own. If you sign up for a lawdepot.com account (around $80.00 for the year) it will walk you through step by step and you can fill out the information, do your own research and then have 2 lawyers check it over. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Alternatives for people looking for high interest rates now that Voyager is dead.
Series I Savings Bonds: I'm guessing most people know by now that the US govt is offering Series I bonds at a record rate of 9.62%, but I'll put some info about that here anyway. See more info here. Things to keep in mind: The advertised rate is only good for 6 months after your purchase, so you only effectively get half the rate. Also, you CANNOT withdraw your money for a year. The other catch is you can only buy... Source: over 1 year ago

  • Ask HN: Best "entry tech" jobs to learn coding?
Check out https://docassemble.org/ I don't know if it's popular enough to be used on your side of the pond, but it's a tool used by lawyers that's scriptable and extensible with code. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
  • Document automation?
There are many products like this for law firms but only a few that can be self-hosted. See, for example: https://docassemble.org/ or https://opensource.legal/projects/Gremlin. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I built a generator for self-hosted contracts that can receive signatures. The generator can also be self-hosted (HelloSign alternative)
Nice one. I think with DocAssemble you could achieve something similar https://docassemble.org. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Anything self hosted like paperless.io?
One thing I used in passed: build a new pdf form and fill it out with https://docassemble.org/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Self hosted consent forms/signature + other software - need recommendations
Probably you can lookup https://docassemble.org/ for the signature part. You can use python to integrate it into other inventory / booking tools. Source: over 1 year ago
