15 Grammarly Alternatives to Fix Your Writing Mistakes in 2021 ( Spelling, Punctuation, and More)
LanguageTool has a free version that brings a reliable error checker and informs you regarding basic typos errors. The tool also has a premium version, which is packed with features. The Premium version starts at $14.99 per month.
112 Best Chrome Extensions You Should Try (2021 List)
LanguageTool is an alternative to both Grammarly and ProWritingAid. It checks and corrects most of the writing mistakes such as grammar and spelling. It supports more than 25 languages. If you use Google Docs, there is an addon of LanguageTool as well. But the extension works fine. Nonetheless, I found the premium version more helpful than the free version.

about.me Reviews

About.me ... and failing to pivot
Some context - about.me was one of the first single-page personal websites. All it offered was a simple online presence for people. It was big when it was released in 2010 - a lot of publicity and lots of famous people pushing their personal brands online for the first time. It was one of those sweet ideas where you didn’t need much tech. The mere ownership of the brand...

  • Grammatik und welcher satz ist besser.
You could check for spelling mistakes first with something like https://languagetool.org/de. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Are there better apps than google translate that have the same function?
I prefer https://www.deepl.com/ and https://languagetool.org/de might be also helpful. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What do we say to typos? Not today!
I was already used to wiggly lines in my favorite IDE IntelliJ and really missed the spell and grammar check capabilities in other editors especially when writing something in the browser. A colleague told me that IntelliJ is using LanguageTool since I'm pretty satisfied with the analysis inside it. Therefore, I looked around on GitHub for a way of hosting my own LanguageTool server. I came across this... - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago
  • Need help with writing (pleaseeeeee )
Hi. Maybe before posting on r/WriteStreakGerman and getting a proper correction you could check the writing on these sites (LanguageTool, Duden-Mentor), to catch some of the possible errors. Regarding shyness, put anonymity to good use. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Grammarly for german
The LanguageTool extension is decent and picks up on a lot of mistakes, but nowhere close to all of them. For example, it will identify if you wrote an article that can never go with a given noun (like "der Auto"), but will not recognize a case error (like using "das Auto" in Dativ). It will also often pick up on things like comma mistakes. Source: over 2 years ago

  • Online resume website?
I am looking to make a resume of mine online with some good URL. I came across some simple websites which allows you but none of them seem really good one. Twowayresume is one of them, about.me is also same. Do you guys know any website which allows to make a resume but a bit modern way. I am not looking for a portfolio type of thing like behance, I just need a good looking resume to apply online. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I am a fresher, 2022 graduate. I literally get ghosted by every company i apply, Please review what's wrong with my resume?
Consider getting a personalized bio page (like on about.me) or get a personal domain. I'm building https://pretzelbox.cc for people who want to quickly get a vanity domain and have their own profile page. If you want this, I could set you up with a domain and hosting for a year which should be more than enough to land your first interview. Source: over 1 year ago
  • So, yo wan to build a personal aggregator with Jekyll?
With the last upgrade of my computer (Hello jammy!) the tool I was using to maintain my personal aggregator started to fail. I was happily using an unmaintained tool that provided a way to have a personal home page collecting my activity on the net and joining it together. The concept of personal aggregator comes from the news aggregator or Feed reader. It is also related with the Planet concept, in the sense... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
  • Venting about my experience in GIT at Polytech. I'm graduating next month.
I do believe social media presence is important, but some classes required me to make like 5 social media accounts. None of my colleagues or people I have met working rely on using Linkedin AND behance AND twitter AND instagram AND having an about.me to get jobs. Anyway, my point here being that classes teach "real-world" concepts as being standard practice that I do not believe to be true. It goes back to a lot... Source: over 1 year ago
