  • Things to do while riding; Learning languages via voice control?
The best podcast for learning Spanish is called Language Transfer: Spanish. Can be found on YouTube or SoundCloud. Can be downloaded as mp3s from languagetransfer.org and uploaded to your phone. This will take you from not knowing anything to being functionally conversational very quickly. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How to improve?
This is the crux of languagetransfer.org I believe, the podcasts focus on cognates, or words that are similar in spanish>english. In addition to LT, I also use dreamingspanish.com and duolingo. My next step is to put aside my fear, and begin my online tutoring with italki.com, which I've already funded, but not yet started... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • I Learned French in 12 Months
One resource you may not be aware of is https://languagetransfer.org. It is easily the best language acquisition system I've ever used (I did the Spanish course). I've previously learned French, German, Sesotho and Japanese using a variety of techniques, and I wish Language Transfer had been around then! The courses are entirely audio (using a convenient app or downloadable MP3 files) and it all runs on donations. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
  • Learning Spanish at 64 almost 65
I second languagetransfer.org and duolingo. It's really fun and can seem like a game. It's super simple, anyone can use it and it's great. Source: over 2 years ago
