Interestingly, I had a brief look for open source alternatives and found that KDE Itinerary[0] may do a similar thing, and that the same code has been re-used in a Nextcloud Mail extension[1]. I don't use either so haven't been able to test directly yet. I made a hotel reservation from zenhotels.com about 4 months ago. I decided to call the hotel to make sure my reservation was confirmed just to be safe, and they told me my reservation was cancelled, even though I did not cancel it and it says its still active on the zenhotel website. So lesson learned, nothing is guaranteed. Hopefully this will save someone some headache like I just went through. Source: about 2 years ago
