  • Comprehensive Search Engine
KAYAK aggregates information from a wide range of travel websites, offering users a broad selection of flights, hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages.
  • Price Alerts

  • Mobile App
KAYAK has a robust mobile app that mirrors the functionality of the website, providing users with the convenience to plan and manage their travel on-the-go.

Possible disadvantages of KAYAK

  • Additional Fees
Sometimes the prices shown on KAYAK do not include additional fees that may be charged by the airline or hotel during the booking process, potentially leading to unexpected costs.
  • Sponsored Results
Sponsored listings may appear in search results, which can sometimes prioritize advertisers over displaying the absolute best deals for users.
  • Lack of Post-Booking Support
Since KAYAK acts as an aggregator and not a direct booking platform, post-booking customer support is handled by the service provider, which can result in fragmented support experiences.
  • Inconsistent Information
There can be inconsistencies between the information shown on KAYAK and the actual information on the booking provider's website, such as room availability or additional amenities.
  • Account Integration
While KAYAK offers integration with some loyalty programs, it may not support all frequent flyer or hotel loyalty accounts, limiting benefits for some frequent travelers.

  • Service Fees
Flightics may charge additional service fees on top of the airfare, which could make bookings more expensive than expected.
  • Dependence on Third-Party Providers
As a flight comparison tool, Flightics relies on third-party providers for accurate information, which may sometimes lead to discrepancies in availability or pricing.
  • Lack of Loyalty Program Integration
Frequent flyers might miss out on loyalty points or benefits as Flightics does not integrate with airline loyalty programs directly.
  • No Direct Booking
Flightics primarily acts as a search engine, redirecting users to external sites to complete bookings, which may not appeal to those preferring direct bookings.
