Artfinder.com is interesting, although it seems they deal mostly in contemporary artists. Check out etsy as well--lots of good handmade items there. On another note, I was in Austria recently and got a couple hand made statues from wood in Salzburg. Sorry I don't have a name but you can google for hand made statues or icons.
